Responsible of the Data & Users security using the Tool “VERITAS Backup”, to back up our application data and the shared folders. We are using the windows 2000 Active Directory Group Policy to control the user privileges and access.
Managing the Network of 35 switches (NORTEL NETWORKS) distributed in the floors using VLAN (Virtual Network) configuration, and maintain the cabling issues.
Responsible of the network security:
To be responsible of the network structure and configuration by creating Two VLANS, the first one for the hotel offices and team members, and the other for the guest rooms.
Assign an IP address for each switch and setup the VLAN Configuration on each switch.
Maintain the switches and managing them by using the Tool “Nortel Network Device Manager”. And check the traffic of the network and solve it if found.
Managing, monitoring, supporting the Firewall by configuring it to keep the network safe from any outsiders or hackers ” we have a SUN Firewall installed on SUN Ultra 5 server” so the Firewall controlling the policy of accessing the Internet service. “This Firewall controlling the Access of the two VLANS and each VLAN connected to a separate Ethernet “for the security reasons” because the SUN Ultra 5 server has quad Ethernet.
