·       Data Center Transformation Strategy – Coordinate with consultant (GARTNER) to schedule interviews and collect information from DTS employees. Working with consultant to identify a strategy to move existing data center from current location to an unidentified location. Now, many applications would be stored in a cloud solution and the counties footprint would be reduced. Looking for geographical separation and streamlined low power solutions.

·       Enterprise Service Catalog – Introduced the new tool (Service Now) and conducted many interviews of existing departments. Introduction of capabilities and the benefits for initial implementation

·       Windows 10/ PC Replacement – Deployment of PC with new Windows 10 image for multiple departments. Approx. 3000 computers will be deployed when finished for this eligibility period

·       Data Center Relocation – Validate inventories of current data center, plan for security during the move and once in the new space, monitor the budget of $3.3 mil, Collect and review RFP’s SOW’s and contracts, Plan the move steps using MS Project and SharePoint, prepare new facility to have all needed network management drops in place, coordinate the back-up data, migrate all existing hardware and software into the new data center space

·       Enterprise Service Catalog – Selected the new tool (Service Now) and conducted many interviews of existing departments. Worked with implementation team to identify any defects and re-mediate. Coordinated the go-live of new AlexIT help-desk ticking system

·       Upgrade Workstation – Coordinated the effort to install Windows 10 onto the city’s computers. Worked with Fairfax County to identify any obstacles. Used a service partner to conduct pilot of 250 machines.

·       Municipal Fiber – Coordinated ITS needs with current Phase of installation. Now the conduits are being installed and ITS will need to prepare to pull Fiber Optic.

·       NCRnet – connecting Arlington County with City of Alexandria. This will enable Dept. of Emergency Communications (DEC) to communicate across county and city lines. This is to serve for Fire, Police and Ambulance calls to better assist the public.
