Dr. Cami is innovative strategist of governmental, private and NGO’s initiatives & policy’s that gain legislative support, positive recognition and favorable public awareness. He has demonstrated history in managing, analyzing and articulating the institutional and humanitarian dimension of programs and issues that require a coordination with multiple actors, including Governmental structures, DFID, WHO, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, USAID, EAR, EBRD, UNMIK, KFOR, etc. As a team player and a lead, he contributed in the Kosovo institution building, giving its valuable expertise in the very challenging time, serving in a diverse and multicultural environment. Significant Contribution
Community improvements

v  As a first President of the Association of General Practitioner and Secretary of the Medical Association of Kosovo, Dr. Cami Initiated and conveyed the Primary Health Care Reform in Kosovo, altering PHC from the old fashion approach of “Polyclinics” to the WHO concept of Family Medicine;

v  In a post conflict stage, in partnership with International Agencies, GO’s, NGO’s, coordinated PHC service delivery and compiled the Primary Health Care Institution Facility Map which was used to rebuild, refurbish and equip the PHC Centers in all over the Kosovo;

v  He establish the Center for Development of Family Medicine of Kosovo, and initiated the Telemedicine Project in Kosovo, both fully functional to date;

v  He played decisive role in establishment and recognition of Licensed Residency Program in Family Medicine, which to days has been completed by more than 500 Family Physicians of Kosovo and has got international recognition by UK-Royal College of General Practitioners;

v  He successfully reorganized services and overhaul the Mental Health Centers in Kosovo, humanizing the treatment and comprehensive health care of Mental Health patients;

v  Effectively contributed to the design, facilitation and delivery of the “Strengthening Capacity  at Ministry of Health, Kosovo” DFID supported Management Training Program, completed by local and central Health Managers of the Public Institution;

v  Initiated and contributed the development of a primary and secondary legislation of the Ministry of Health of Kosovo;

v  Successfully organize and discharge emergency respond plans for refuges in cross-borders and refugee camps in FYROM, during the 1999 conflict in Kosovo, including EPI Program;
