includes design and selection of Voltage Regulator (VR), power management solutions to include power integrity,
hot-swap controller and 240VA switch solutions. Conducting testing and evaluation and it include generation of
test plans.
• Technical Leader and focal interface with VRM/VRD suppliers in compliance with the CPU / Memory and system
requirements.
• Focal interface within the cross-functional teams for design and project execution.
• Conduct design review to facilitate product releases, escalations and de-risking of issues.
• Technical Lead on the product’s power supply requirements and driving the internal team and vendors on the
timely delivery of a reliable power supply unit.

development and testing stages.

Achievements:
1) Execution of new power design solutions using TI VR13 solution for all Purley systems supporting Microsoft server
systems.
2) Early development of power concept of Tioga_Pass system for Facebook including cross-matching of DC/DC
system power solutions
3) Generation of new power testplan covering detailed DC/DC power design which is exclusively for Wiwynn power
test guidelines. This is on top of the DC power design defined by Intel CRB.
4) Developed and completed power design for 2 major customers of Wiwynn namely for Microsoft and Facebook.
5) Generated the Wiwynn strategy for power solution roadmap to support Enterprise and Data Center applications

Responsibilities:
• Individual contributor and responsible for the design and concept of Power Management Solution for IBM Power
Server applications. This includes selection and design of VRD/VRM solutions, AEM design, conducting testing and
evaluation. This includes generation of testplans.
• Technical Leader and focal interface with VRM/VRD suppliers in compliance with the CPU and system
requirements.
• Focal interface for US counterparts for design work collaboration, ODM partners, vendors and IBM Taiwan internal
teams for design and project execution.
• Conduct design review to facilitate product releases, escalations and de-risking of issues and owner of product
quality deliverables from ODM partners
• Technical Lead on the product’s power supply requirements and driving the internal team and vendors on the
timely delivery of a reliable power supply unit.

Achievements:
1) Completed the delivery of the full system power design for IBM Power 8 System covering both AC/DC Power
Supply and DC/DC low voltage power solutions.
2) Provided new concept DC/DC power design and architecture for new system platform that co-exist with IBM
Power 8 system.
3) Zero test backlog during development stage implementing design principle of “Doing right the first time”.
4) Created new comprehensive power testplan covering both AC/DC and System power testing for internal and OEM

Responsibilities:
Complete Power Supply Design
– Conceptualize project from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to schematic, mechanical packaging, PCB lay-out to
Power-up and Testing. This includes creation of technical write up on the product.
– Address customer and factory issues. Conduct safety problem solving.
– Plan and execute Cost Reduction strategy in order to meet program GP targets.

Project planning
– Conceptualize detailed execution plan for timely delivery of commitments.
– Allocate resources, plan materials and conduct team project reviews
– Provide QA and safety support.
– Have some level of supervisory control over PCB Engineers working current project model.

5) Deliver Dell 12G 1100W program to Mass Production ahead of schedule in full compliance with specification
