·         As cash manager, I am responsible in overseeing cash management activities in my clustered branches, such as posting procedures for payments and refunds or bank account administration.

·         I manage daily cash levels in the vault and ensure branches cash requirements are met

·         I verify daily balance on CBN statement of accounts. Withdrawal and deposit of cash from CBN for branches

·         I monitor inter-branch cash movements / requirements

·         I ensure adherence to all control procedures relating to cash movement

·         I verify proper documentation/accounting entries to reflect cash movement

·         I coordinate activities of the cashiers and ensure adherence to the bank’s policies

·         I evaluates daily cash levels and ensures they meet short-term operating needs and long-term project financing requirements of branches within my scope.

·         I also monitors periodic cash flows to detect excess and maintain daily cash insurance limit.
