Professional Experience

Bonnier Corporation | 2013-2018

Bonnier Motorcycle Group Social Media Specialist

Under the company’s restructure, I was chosen to manage the social pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) for all BMG brands including Cycle World, Motorcyclist, Hot Bike, Sport Rider, Dirt Rider, Baggers, ATV Rider, UTV Driver, and Super Streetbike. Created unique photo/video posts and shared links to brand websites, created paid and sponsored post content, and engaged followers in comments.

Motorcyclist Magazine Online Editor

I was hired by Editor-In-Chief Marc Cook to write for Motorcyclist and to produce the MotorcyclistOnline.com website. My duties included representing the magazine at press functions, testing new motorcycles at new-model press launches, writing road test reviews, testing new riding gear, and writing a monthly update on long-term project bikes. My daily digital duties included uploading print-to-web content and creating text, photo and videos posts to all of the social media pages. During this time I singlehandedly grew the Motorcyclist Facebook page from 40K followers to over 1,000,000.

Super Streetbike Magazine Senior Technical Editor

Generated sportbike-specific technical content for the first nationally distributed monthly magazine and its social networks that actively explored modified sportbikes and the accompanying lifestyle in a deadline-oriented environment. Work closely with industry leaders, advertorial accounts and editorial team to assist in content creation for a total audience of 285,000. Coordinate build projects and oversee logistics. Develop and create features. Work closely with the editor to develop themes, story ideas, cover lines, and determine the overall look of the magazine. Install long-term test bike modifications. Produce social media content and companion website blog posts.
