Job Description:

Social skills and competences

           Social skills I possessed are mainly by being negotiable, have the sense to learn from others, and being cooperative, able to communicate to others and accepting differences. I have gained all these in my usual daily living and experienced it as nurse towards my co-nurses, superiors, and medical staffs in the hospitals.

Organizational skills and competences

           These skills make my world balance, a time for everything. I’m a leader of my own self. I have to put things on the right place and being organized to everything I do to make life easy and reduce stress. If possible, a day ahead you already have developed a time plan to follow for all the activities to be completed.

Technical skills and competences

          As what I understood of the word technical, it pertains to computer or technology. Being born in this era, I have introduced to the world where uprising technologies emerging like computer, gadgets, etc. I have learned how to use it accordingly and make use of it as part of my daily living. Like computer applications namely, Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, itunes, limewire, facebook, and others to relate to the world. But speaking to my profession, my performance will be based or measured against established or popular standards for the safety of my patients. . I’m a rule abiding citizen.

Computer skills and competences

           As what I have said above, technology is undergoing rapid change, and new and improved technological advances appear almost daily. . As a nurse, I have to be active to identify the essential knowledge and skills to be needed not to be behind. I have the basic knowledge of some of the applications in using the computer which could help me to meet the challenges of personal and professional life.

Artistic skills and competences

           The word artistic relates to arts or artists. But each person is different. They are an artist on their own way. So, for me I don’t have to be an artist to be called artistic. In my own simple way I could be one. Being resourceful is one way to be artistic, it is a must in our profession especially in emergency situations where you could come up to actions or plans and needed things to save a life. You have to be skilled enough in executing one’s task especially in handling a delicate situation. I have learned all these things during my internship as a student nurse and by simply also doing flower arrangement in a patient’s room it is an art already and providing a positive aura or environment.
