Overall function
Identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling, mitigating and reporting on risk exposures on market risk, liquidity risk and operational risks in order to ensure the attainment of the company’s strategic goals. Enforces and monitors all business units to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements concerning market, liquidity and operational risks.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling, mitigating and reporting on risk exposures on market risk, liquidity risk and operational risks in the Group.
· Coordinates the Asset and Liability Committee as Secretary.
· Implements, facilitates compliance with regulations and industry standards.
· Provides training to business units on liquidity, market and operational risk issues.

· Mathematical modelling skill: developing the Probability of Default Model for the ZB Bank Corporate Portfolio using Logistic Regression Analysis.
· Analytical skill: Analysing and rating corporate clients’ loan applications, the objective is to ensure that the Bank lends to quality clients and charge the correct risk margin on the overall interest rate to be charged.
· Excel Modelling Skill: Modelling the loan interest rate calculator template for the Bank in excel, this template is being used by Lenders to calculate overall interest rate to be charged after taking into account the base rate, product margin and the risk margin. The template is an empirical interpretation of the Bank’s pricing model. Automation of the credit risk reports in order to improve process cycle-time.

· Innovation: designed a market risk assessment summary template that empirically interprets the ALCO philosophy of the Bank, the objective is to ensure that exceptions are quickly identified and reported on time.
· Quantitative and analytical skill: was responsible for counterparty (other banking institutions) assessment for existing counterparties and /or new counterparties using the CAMELS model; the objective is to ensure that the existing counterparty limit is still valid or the prospective counterparty meets the minimum standards of the Bank.
· Excel Modelling Skill: was instrumental in designing scenario and stress testing frameworks. Scenario and stress testing are important risk management tools
