Jobs Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Operates all kind of Radio communication equipment’s and ensures they are all maintained operational, such as; Satellite communication, GMDSS Radios, SSB radios, DSC radios, Microwave radiotelephone system, PABX Radio phone system, EPIRB, SARSAT, Facsimile, Radar Transponder, Navtex, VHF Marine radio repeater, any kind of UHF & VHF Marine and Aviation radios and “CW” Morse Code radio transceivers.

·        Prepare documents like; Timesheets, POB, Radio Operator’s report, Room Assignment and other pertinent documents which are needed by Company man, OIM & Supervisors.

·        Prepare Helicopter booking manifest of all incoming & outgoing personnel.

·        Act as (PTW) Permit to Work Coordinator.

·        Communicate with other radio operators at offshore & onshore radio stations, vessels & helicopter pilots, Personnel & Logistic Coordinator and monitor helicopter – vessel movement, dispatching of cargo and personnel to and from assigned platform.

·        Promote and maintain a good working relationship with other departments, Client Representative and third-party personnel.

·        Maintain strict confidentiality of all work performed including well data & pipe’s tally, payroll information, crew list, and personal data of the crew.

·        Prepare cargo manifest for the materials to be back loaded to the boat.

·        Act as Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) & Helicopter coordinator controller

·        Monitor log navigational warning, receiving weather forecast and relayed to all stations

·        Participate weekly safety meeting and perform the Drills such as; Fire & abandon, Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), Man Overboard, Helicopter Crash Landing, Man down, etc.

·        Perform Radio silence in compliance with radios requirements & control isolation of radio equipment’s and other electronic and electrical system during that period.

·        Maintain regular maintenance of all electronic navigational equipment’ and other radio communications and checked all antennas, batteries power supply system respectively.

·        Maintain radio contact with helicopter traffic to & from the rig. Advise pilots of landing clearances, meteorological conditions, etc. and record in the helicopter movement log.

·         Knowledgeable on the emergency procedures in regard to radio room operations during an emergency and medical evacuation procedures.

·        To keep all parties informed as weather deteriorates in order that all are aware that drilling operations may have to be suspended with approval of OIM & Company man.

·        Preparing vessel documents during port entry and departure to be represented to the Port Authorities, Immigration, Port Control and Coast Guard for port clearances.

·        Conducted Safety briefing for all incoming personnel came by chopper or by boat.
