OBJECTIVES

EXPERIENCES & SUCCESSES:

·       Factories Corporation of Jamaica – Responsible for the Production of Blueprints for construction, tender evaluations and construction project supervision.

·       Axis Construction & Development –Project Manager/Consultant (2013- present) – Responsible for the Production of Blueprints for construction, NHT submissions, Project Management, Building Contracting and construction, Prepare project Tenders and bids.

·       Social Development Comission – Property Manager (2018) – Responsible for maintaining property.

·       Ministry of Health – Project Engineer (2014-2018) – Ministry of Health, Jamaica Plan, scope, cost, execute monitor, hospital development, and maintenance projects. Such as the “Adopt A Clinic” project. I also carry out Health Centre renovations, to include piped medical gas, and elevator installations etc.

Civil Works Supervisor (2011 – 2014) Promoted to Project Engineer

Ministry of Health – South-East Regional Health Authority (SERHA), 25 Dominica Drive Kingston 5, Saint Andrew.(MOH)

Had the core responsibility of implementing both planned and remedial maintenance programmes for buildings, water systems, sewage systems, incinerators and plumbing systems for varying Hospitals and Health Facilities in the Ministry’s South East Region. To ensure that the facilities appertaining to the design and layout are in adherence with the legal and regulatory requirements as stipulated.

Main function includes; the generation of reports to the Head of Department; supervision of contractors and construction staff personnel; ensure budgetary compliance for each project and effecting cost cutting measures where required; conducting staff appraisals where required and other supervisory functions.

My main aim was to ensure that all technical aspects of the project were achieved with precision and I was that Technical mind. Core responsibilities included; the inspection of steelwork, collecting concrete samples and conduct slump testing; the inspection of steel formwork during erecting and striking; making accurate determination of road levels for the housing scheme layout; supervising the use of the main equipment and staff personnel during construction.
