August 2013 - May 2017 Bachelor's of science Degree; Fermentation science at Appalachian State University

Focus on Chemistry, Biology, Fermentation, and Business with several lab based classes that focused on microbiological growth, beer and wine analysis, and sensory testing. As part of my course of study, I was trained in GLP to create a safe and sanitary work environment while studying in the laboratory.

Experience

November 2017 - current Team member at Crosby's - Mendon

Responsible for customer service, product knowledge, and store maintenance. Required communication with customers about food orders and other staff members to coordinate food times in the most efficient way possible.

September 2017-November 2017 Quality assurance technician at Baldwin-Richardson Foods

I was responsible for taking timed samples of product, testing for specific qualities, and recording data using critical control point paperwork. Trained using HACCP and GMP for safe and sanitary work environments and record keeping.

June 2017 - July 2017 Intern at Beech Mountain Brewing company

I have assisted with brewing at Beech Mountain Brewing company. I learned much about the commercial brewing process, including transferring liquids, mashing, sparging, making salt additions, cooling, pitching yeast, and kegging.

May 2017-September 2017 Event Staff and Beverage Assistant at Grandfather Golf & Country Club

Responsible for maintaining seating charts based on member reservations and requests, preparing event displays, tables, presentation of food and beverages, and learning knowledge of focus food and beverage. Knowledge of beer and wine was key to my position.
