2. Performs daily, weekly, monthly and as-needed equipment maintenance and troubleshooting on ADVIA Centaur XPT, XP, CP and two Beckman Coulter Unicel DxC 800 Synchron Clinical Systems analyzers to ensure proper and efficient function of the analyzers. Documents and files the accomplished maintenance forms by end of each month.

3. Prepares and runs QC on said analyzers, calibrates tests when needed and documents action taken in the appropriate files for proper documentation as required.

4. Calibrates, runs QC and samples for special chemistry on ARCHITECT i2000SR.

5. Participates in Quality Assurance monitoring. Performs QC parallel testing, reagent lot validation, daily spot check, accomplishes sample collection from Millipore water stations for monthly water analysis and silica content.

6. Responsible for the bi-annual pipette calibration for all automatic pipettes used in the lab, accomplishes proper documentation and filing.

7. Performs supply inventory and participates in the revision of section SOPs.

8. Assists in machine validation, training of students and new staff.

9. Participates in the performance of CAP proficiency surveys and RIQAS external quality assessment by Randox.
