Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Planning, designing and delivery of the overall program/projects and corresponding activities in accordance with the mission and the goal of the organization

·         Development of  new initiatives to support and complement the strategic directions of the organization

·         Preparation of annual budget and operational plans to support the program/project(s) implementation

·         Development of funding proposals to ensure the continuous delivery of services

·         Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards.

·         Coordination with the relevant stake holders for timely access and advocate and negotiate on behalf of the organization with the relevant authorities.

·         Supervise and monitor the program staff and projects and provide directions, input and feedback.

·         Write reports for the program/projects for management and for Donor Agencies.

·         Maintain coordination and liaison with the stake holders and communicate with Donors on behalf of the organization.

·         Represent the organization at carious local, country level, regional and global platforms.

Accomplishments:

·         Ensured that the operational plan for the community participatory mechanism is followed by the community mobilizers.

·         Carried out the preparation and implementation of various community based awareness programs.

·         Developed / arrange suitable training and staff development programs for the community mobilizers in consultation with Community Development officer.

·         Facilitated the liaison with the Government line departments on proposed development activities in the target communities.

·         Monitored various field activities with the assistance of the community mobilizers.

·         Ensured sustainable operational & maintenance (O&M) programs development in the communities.

·         Provided social guidance to the communities in the resolution of their problems.

·         Prepared reports on the progress and effectiveness of the Community Development Programs.
