I did BSc Electrical Engineer with A grade from UET in 2007. My majors were in Power subjects.
Then in Feb 2008, I joined Pakistani Govt owned power distribution company GEPCO who is dealing with distribution of electric Power to about 3 Million consumers spreading at an area of 17622 square km.
In my initial service, I was assigned duties at Operational office wherein, I in-charged a regional power distribution operational office having about 100 officials working under my control. I was tasked to supply power to about 20k consumers through 7 no. of distribution feeders. I officiated tasks like billing, revenue collection, sustainable power supply and provision of new connections. In my tenure I reduced the total technical and administrative losses of feeders from 16% to 14% in a year.
In 2011, I joined Planning and Engineering section of GEPCO, which was dealing with planning, design, augmentation/enhancement of distribution network technical and its related technical and financial aspects. Herein, I grew my pedigree by involving myself into USAID PDP program. I worked on ARC GIS as well as SynerGi Electric software for better design of reliable and more beneficial distribution network.
I performed load flow studies for the design and planning of dispersal of power on 10 No. new 132kV Grid-stations coming in GEPCO system in less than two months’ time.
I also prepared medium term forecast report of GEPCO based on Power Market survey in collaboration with Planning Power NTDC for year 2011-12 and 2012-13.
I contributed immensely in preparing 5 years business plan (Distribution Integrated Investment plan) 2015-20 amounting to pak Rs. 20680 million of GEPCO in 2015.
I joined Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) in June 2017. CPPA is Govt owned Market Operator, who was also tasked for Power Market reforms. I worked in demand forecast section, who was facilitating Distribution companies and transmission company in preparation of medium term and long-term forecast.
