As an Engineering graduate that goes for being an intern as a front liner gives me more grasp of the aviation world. In my own point of view, every personnel in this industry lies a very important role that should be executed perfectly and precisely for the safety of everyone. I have chosen this position to be my training ground mainly because it is one of my areas of improvement, which means “socializing”, being in a crowd and communicating verbally. I have spent 5 years building myself and learning about mechanical and technical stuffs as an engineer. But none as challenging as facing and conquering my weak point. Although I admit that I still have a lot to learn as an engineer, but being in a customer service position serves as a stepping stone for me to grow as a person, because I do believe communication is the key for everything as well as growing a company. Throughout the training duration and its full service training curriculum, I have learned that being in this position makes us the first line of defense against terrorism and any vile acts that could harm innocent people, also able to handle a difficult situation especially handling pissed off customers calmly, politely and with empathy, as well as working precisely to one’s designated role. I’m well aware that I still have a lot of areas that needs improvement and am always willing to do so. Learning doesn’t end as long as you keep on moving forward.
