Adult Physical Dysfunction Setting:
Provides evaluation for the patient’s occupational performance through the use of
updated and effective assessment and evaluation tools.
Assist patients in prioritizing their goals in making the changes they desire.
Addresses their capabilities in improving task performance.
Provides treatment that could enable patients to perform basic living skills as
functional as possible.
Provides the effective use of up to date physical agent modalities during treatment.
Provides NDT and PNF exercises to normalize patient’s muscle tone.
Uses compensatory strategies in doing activities for the patients to become
independent.
Modifies the task and environment to be simpler and accessible.
Provides home instruction program which includes independence in doing daily living
activities and safety precautions for the patients to rely at home.
Pediatric Psychiatric and Physical Dysfunction Setting:
Provides NDT and PNF exercises to help normalize child’s muscle tone.
Uses reinforcements in dealing with a child to execute desired behaviors that will
enable the child to function optimally in their expected environment.
Designs behavioral management techniques or intervention program to address the
child’s behavior.
Identify the gaps in development and provide activities to help promote the
continued progress of the child both simultaneously and chronologically.
Provides the children with the adequate play that they need.
Assists the child to learn new things with the use of play.
Psychiatric Setting:
Use of activities to promote and improve leisure participation.
Provide effective use of communication to establish rapport and encourage them to
perform the activities given.
Give exercises and health promotion lectures to divert patient’s minds to a healthier
lifestyle.
Provide work-related activities to promote and improve work participation.
