Quality Inspector/Quality Assurance

• Conduct Risk assessment with physical jobs.
• Identify duplicates, by doing a comparison on both SAP MM and SAP MDM.
• Measuring quality of equipment.
• Examine the quality of the equipment for defects. Inspect if the correct equipment was delivered, as well as deviations from drawings and other discrepancies.
• Ensure the correct delivered equipment is documented under the correct Kumba identification number.
• Inspect reconditioned equipment before it is send away for repairs as well as on returning from the RECO process.
• Spot overpricing in many of the equipment received, in which case we communicate with the buyer and the contracts department to investigate the reason, or to explore new companies.
• If tests are performed I manage inventory efficiency.
• Visit vendors(site inspection), especially in the case of RECO items to ensure they comply with mine standards, and to verify if the scope of their contract are met as precisely as possible.
• Intensive and detailed technical quality inspection enabled with integrated wireless bar-coding and scanning technology (scanner) linked with SAP Material Management which in turn is linked to SAP Master Data Management (SAP MDM).
• Leading small projects.
• As quality inspector I am the direct link between supply chain and end users ex: -mining -engineering, -production teams etc…
• I work on SAP MM daily and also have some SAP PM experience.

Supervisor Charge Hand & Maintenance/Fabrication – Steel Worker

• Charge hand for both electrical and steelwork department, including:
o Managing of the section when the foreman was unavailable at any time ex.
o Permission of time-off and leave of co-workers if supervisor is not available.
o Schedule work teams for maintenance jobs and breakdowns if supervisor is not available.
o Managing contractors in foreman’s absence.
o Safety file system.
o Manage Lock-out locks of all plant personnel, including contractors.
o Ordering of general equipment.
o Ordering of plant maintenance equipment.
o Organise contractors for shut downs.
o Administration for the foreman.
o Running of all office work.
o Manage quotations by asking for quotations and follow up om quotes.
o Filing and record keeping on both the hard drive and hard copy of safety file.

o Receiving of all the equipment that was delivered.

• Specialised manufacturing in the engineering workshop include:
o Fabrication and welding of Komatsu 730E(200ton) buckets from complex
drawings.
o Assemble and welding of 220 ton Euclid buckets.
o Fabrication of boom and dipper arms from drawings as well as from
examples for damaged O&K machines.
o Fabrication of O&K rock breaker casings.
o Fabricate buckets for front end loaders such as CAT(TLB) machines.
o Cones up to 3 meters high with material thickness of 16mm with hydraulic
plate roll machine.
