RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To support the control on change of engineering of the product up to the last level in order to assure that the specifications of the components and product should correspond to the required thing.

• To document the changes with drawings, and technical required specifications and to advise to the areas of manufacture, quality control, in this respect.

• Coordinate and/or to implement any project referring to the product.

• To quote parts and labor for harness designs or quote any changes needed in the product or new products and to provide to the client this information.

• To coordinate the elaboration of samples, prototypes and the first samples.

• Interpret engineering changes and coordinates the implementation of them

• Verify cutting sheet vs. material bill and obtain samples when necessary

• Approve first pieces for a new raw material and coordinate the first piece for a new product.

• Identify mistakes on drawings or lack of information from customer to finish quote ASAP

Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems, maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems and improve productions rates, efficiencies, yields, cost and changeovers. Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards. Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process. Manage all process engineering projects and resolve problems. Manages a team responsible for the implementation of manufacturing process and equipment ensure continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production. Maintain and improve the process parameters under control. Analyze the low margin tools and find the root causes and make the necessary changes to bring up the tools profitable. Control and keep down the molding machine downtime. Work with tooling department on tooling improvements and ECN’s. Assist with trouble shooting mold presses and auxiliary equipment and recommend changes or repairs when productivity is affected.
