Lamar West is a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) pursuing a degree in Agriculture and Consumer Economics. With his degree, he aspires to work with industry leaders to learn about and contribute to a corporation, and then start his own financial consulting business. In addition to excelling in his studies, he has been fortunate enough to participate in programs that further enhance his professional and leadership education. These programs include the 100 Black Men Chapter of Chicago Pathways to Success internship and the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps while actively drilling with the Illinois National Guard as a Military Police officer. Furthermore, Lamar is passionate about helping the youth, so he is currently developing a plan to get the Collegiate 100 Auxiliary Program of the 100 Black Men Chapter of America on the campus of UIUC.
