This post is responsible for the deliver of basic nursing care to the patients under the supervision of Registered Nurse. Such nursing care is an integral part of the total care plan and will be carried out according to the policies of the hospital.

▪ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
In conjunction with registered nurse, assist in the implementation of nursing care reporting back to a designated registered nurse on patient’s status.
*Demonstrate knowledge and understanding in areas of areas of basic nursing care

✓ NURSE AIDE IN CONSULTATION ROOM
This position is responsible for carrying out all nursing duties inside the consultation room. Assisting the doctor in management of patient.

▪ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of everything inside the room before, during and after every duty.
*Refills stocks (such as necessary forms, urine containers, gloves, tongue depressors, vaginal speculums, K.Y jelly, hand soap & sanitizers, tissue, ear speculum etc.)
*Prepare and check all equipment’s (IVAC thermometer, diagnostic set, otoscope, stethoscope, examination lamp, BP apparatus etc.)
*To assist doctors in filling up the patient encounter forms (MRN, Name of the patient and department)
*Recording all patient’s data on the statistics form and collection of all the statistics from doctors
*To facilitate good control of patient flow in and out of the doctors room
*To ensure that all medical and non-medical equipment are working properly and initiate job order to fix any problem
*Responsible in giving instruction to a patient after consultation by doctor and share in health education, e.g diet, medication use (if possible)
*Support and assist head nurse in the effective use of supplies

✓ NURSE AIDE IN FAMILY AND COMMUNITY MEDICINE CENTERS
