CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Managed the monitoring and control of projects estimated at around Php 0.6-1 billion (15 – 20 million USD) worth of projects every year, i.e. landslide mitigation / geohazard, construction of geothermal drilling and reinjection pads, civil/structural/mechanical/piping works,  non-drilling initiatives, facility improvement, roads inside facilities
Performed diligent technical evaluation of vendors’ offers thereby generating an annual cost savings to the company at around Php 5-10 million (100-200 thousand USD)
Improved the process to reduce the cycle time in the preparation of accruals, billings and variation orders
Devised a score card to measure and monitor the group’s performance in project execution (safety, timeliness, cost)
Created an online monitoring sheet that showed real-time updates on the status, health, contract requirements of the projects accessible to all proponents, which helped the team focus on other essential activities
Trained the group in the use of Microsoft Project necessary in the creation of work program, tracking of progress and evaluation of vendor’s time extension claims

Job Responsibilities

Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control
Reviews all relevant documentation pertaining to the project including the scope of work, project execution plan, work program, resource loading,  and other requirements under the contract;
Coordinates and manages all project planning and monitoring activities with the Contractor and Facility Owners;
Develops, monitors, reviews and evaluates project programs (PERT-CPM, network diagram, critical path), detailed progress, resources and cost using Project Management tools, i.e. MS Project, earned value, and project performance reporting to management;
Assists the department manager in executing established cost control measures to achieve project objectives on cost, including the preparation of cost reports and forecasting to management;
Provides planning and cost controlling support for all projects such as monitoring of cost variations, reporting of progress, preparation of budget and accruals, , situational reports, resource monitoring, and updating of group’s Balance Score Card;

Contracts Administration
Assists the department manager in the preparation and maintenance of project control policies and procedures;
Handles the contract administration of various contract packages from project commencement up to completion to ensure that the vendors have conformed to the terms and conditions of the contract, i.e. submission of bonds and insurances, resource loading, reconciliation reports, time and cost claims due to delays, completion certificates, payment terms, among others;
Facilitates closure of Contracts and turnover of project documents to Facility Owners, and manages project defects under its Warranty Period.

Support Activities
Prepares bid package for small projects, solicit quotation from vendors, technical evaluation of bids
Consolidates group’s accomplishments, latest updates, and help needed from higher management
Assists the department manager in making various reports
Assists in updating of department’s work procedures and manuals
