January 24, 2011 up to the present, I am connected with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VI as Project Development Officer II in the poverty reduction and social protection and development strategy that provides cash assistance to the poor households called Conditional Cash Transfer Program (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) I am designated as Compliance Verification System Focal team leader of Negros Occidental, Region VI, Philippines. The nature of my work is more on technical assistance and coordination with field workers and partner implementers. I have to see to it that all monitoring tools for the beneficiaries and grantees are properly distributed, accomplished by the partners base on their records in line with the program conditions in health and education. After the partner accomplishment the monitoring tools, I facilitated the fiduciary activity together with our social welfare assistants to make sure the completeness and correct accomplishment of the monitoring tools. The monitoring tools are encoded by our encoders and it is my task to verify and recommend the encoded data for the Regional Director’s approval. Also, facility visits and system checks are done to monitor and to develop strategies and document good practices to be replicated to other local government units. Issues and concerns along program implementations are address through thorough technical assistance and inter-agency meeting which I am also involved. Unresolved problems encountered are well documented and elevated to the National Program Management Office for the review and amendments of the program guidelines and policies if there is a need.
