Shimanami Shipyard Co.,Ltd. Position: Welder/Fitter

Japan (2015-2018)

* Knowledge in SMAW, FCAW and GMAW * Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead position * Level the jigs according to the measurements * Prepare and put the main frame metal into jigs * Layout position on metal, working from blueprints or templates and using scribe hand tools * Understand all brackets and parts and put into place * Assemble and tack the metal according to plan * Align parts in relation to each other using jacks, turnbuckle clips, chain blocks * Understand the number coding of the metals

* Be vigilant of the line and sign of the metal * Select and install torches, torch tips, filler wires according to welding specifications or types and thickness of metals * Full weld the finished tack weld * Full weld the vivil main frame of the blocks (root pass, hot pass, capping) * Check the full welding has been done * Chip or grind excess weld, slag or spatter using hand or power scrapers and grinders * Make sure there is no blow hole, pin holes etc.

* Following the final inspection of welding
