-Works directly under physicians order, assisting them during exams, diagnostic testing and treatment.

-Prepares and administers ( subcutaneously, through an IV and intramuscularly) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions of medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.

– Provides IV therapy

-Cleans and Bandages wounds

-Provides Basic bedside care

-Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner

-Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting

-Continually evaluates patients care needs, prioritizing treatment

-Performs a number of medical procedures, including temperature, pulse and blood pressure readings, blood draws and EKG’s
