Good Day Sir/ Ma’am,

I’am Michael O. De Juan, 42 years old. I was born on July 26, 1976. I’ am Married and i have 2 children, 5 years old boy and 4 years old girl. I’ am ableseaman on shuttle tanker.

I started to work in the vessel as a messman/ cadet, with in 9 months onboard then finally I was promoted as Ordinary seaman.

Messman/ cadet duty is under supervision of chief steward, to assist in preparation of the officers meal, attending cleaning cabin of my officer and preparing of bed sheet, pillow and mattreses. I do collecting clothes of my officers for laundry and ironing and other house keeping job.

I was 24 months sea work experience onboard then I was promoted as Ableseaman. Become part of bridge navigational watch, proper look out according to the international regulation rules of the road. I’am responsible for steering in channeling the vessel near the port with the command of the Master of the vessel or  the harbour Master Pilot, while in open sea which is not needed considering an automatic pilot. Performing ship maintenance such as chipping rust and painting ship structure with working aloaf procedure. Greasing of machinery equipment. Keep quarters as well as the common clean and tidy. While in port keep cargoes watched as instructed by the chief officer, duty officer, bosun and pumpman during loading and discharging of cargoes.

I’am capable and authorized to used the ships hydraulic crane during cargoes operation to connect and disconnect the cargoes hoses and pick some store, provision, and spare parts of the vessel.

Drives vehicle and prepare and cooked number of Filipino cuisine.

On my vacation 3 months I learned automotive mechanic work, familiar with automotive parts. And i’am willing to learned and train in any  kind of job.
