JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

„  Design and develop Electrical Single line diagrams.

„  Design and develop the cable Routing layouts & Schedules, power & wiring diagrams, AC / DC Distribution Panel board schedules and Grounding Layouts.

„  Preparation of all Design documents like Equipment specifications, scope of work, Electrical data sheets and Material Take Off

„  Close co-ordination with the Vendors to find out the better solutions to the Engineering Design Queries.

„  Appeared the Review Meetings directly facing the client in order to discuss and close the design Review comments on the Design Proposal packages.

„  Lighting calculations, Cable sizing calculations, voltage drop calculations, grounding, AC/DC breaker sizing, battery sizing, Panel board sizing calculations and Equipment sizing calculations (Transformer sizing, MCC, LV Switchgear, UPS and Generator etc.).

„  Preparation of AC/DC auxiliary single line diagrams and AC/DC panel board schedules.

„  Coordination with the other discipline engineers (Communication, Civil, Mechanical, instrumentation and process) and contractors to ascertain technical specifications and design related essentials

„  Evaluation of Electrical Power System requirements based on site conditions by conducting Site survey activities.

Academic Project – RF Based Post Paid Energy meter with Data Base Maintenance for cross Checking

„  An Energy meter which calculates the power utilized by the customer and transmits the data through Radio Frequency signals to the Billing Location enabling to generate the bill without human involvement

„  On the other hand it provides the cross checking of the Energy consumed by using an external setup comprising of Micro Controller and Data Base Management System.

„  Complete process is carried out by a RF Transmitter module with a ATC 89C51 micro controller,  encoder and decoder unit to encode and decode the data

Academic Project – Simulation of Automatic Level Crossing

„  Simulate the Model of Automatic Level Crossing and execute the system functioning.

„  Automatic lifting barrier is an idea to replace all manually operated Railway Crossings with un-manned (without gate keepers) Level crossing.

„  This arrangement is to reduce the risks involved at the railway crossings with minimum cost by using Electric Traction system.
