Responsibilities
Attending to enquiries by existing and potential clients relating any matters on investments (money market and equities) and portfolios under management;
Meeting and discussing with prospective and current investors (clients) to assess investment objectives and risk profile in order to match their investments to these key parameters;
Constructing (asset allocation) investment portfolios in accordance with the respective client investment objectives and risk profile (including periodic placements of funds under management or trading of securities necessary to successfully achieve the desired returns);
Developing investment options and preparing power point presentations and presenting same to prospective clients, including but not limited to pension fund administrators, trustees and principal officers.
Continuous scanning (gathering market intelligence and regular reviews of information for industry leaders) of investment markets for opportunities and threats to existing portfolios under management as a bases for portfolio construction or reconstruction or hold decisions as a key requirement for a sustainable asset allocation and investment strategy;
Drafting research notes for distribution to internal and external clients as a way of information updates, communicating opportunities and threats in the relevant markets, thereby motivating improvement to investment decisions;
Ensuring that all assets and securities relating to portfolios under management are received from counter parties, recorded in the register by the relevant department and placed under custody in accordance with the provisions of the respective mandates;

Achievements
Oversight of active portfolios in excess of $23 million and a passive portfolio in excess of $180 million. Portfolio returns for funds under management have consistently performed against benchmarks set for the funds.
Designed a Wedding Investment Fund in June 2011. The fund has grown to an excess of $100,000.00.
Managed a $2 million worth of Agriculture input scheme in 2012.
Managing $3million worth of properties dotted all over Zimbabwe.
Developed a Property Investment vehicle which managed to bring together high net worth clients who invested in a 5 acre piece of land in Helensvale which is currently being developed into a secure residential complex.
Oversight of Furniture debtors’ book worth $2 million. Managed non performing debtors from assessing the accounts and credit ratings of clients, drafting and issuing summons right up to collecting funds either by garnish orders or warrants.

Responsibilities
Placing sales or purchase orders with stock brokers as instructed by investment and portfolio managers responsible for investments in quoted securities for internal and external clients;
Liaising with stockbrokers and transfer secretaries for remittance of share certificates and sale proceeds to accounts for trading transactions (including splitting and consolidation of share certificates);
Maintaining a register of all securities held (for both internal and external clients), by recording all share certificates received, sent out to brokers or transfer secretaries for transfer, splitting or consolidation;
Ensuring proceeds for share sales are received, recorded and transmitted to the respective clients (including keeping a record of such transactions);
Undertaking periodic reconciliation of scrip and nominee accounts for all clients invested in equities and ensuring work is evenly distributed among the subordinates in the scrip unit;
Preparing periodic reports on portfolio status and distributing same to the respective clients to ensure they have up to date information about their investment in quoted securities;
Undertaking periodic reviews (fundamental and technical analysis using various analytical models) of the performance of the stock market and preparing reports that focus on the prospects of stock market investments (including the buy, hold or sell recommendations); and
Advising clients (internal and external) on the quality of stock market portfolios held based on historical performance, industry fundamentals and prospects.
