Within my management roles in Health and Social care services I have shown tenacity in ensuring geographical areas of concern are improved sustainably to an exceptionally high standard- this has been done by implementing strong, consistent management techniques and proactive measures to underpin fundamental values for all staff roles under my management.

In my previous role of Area Manager, holding the CQC registered status I was directly responsible for supported living services across 4 local authorities, 2 accommodation based respite services and 3 New Build schemes- demonstrating my ability to manage different services to a consistently high standard while ensuring quality, sensitive and person centred practice.

More recently I have currently taken a step away from direct operational management to consult with other areas across the national organisation for which I work, offering practical support and advice to ensure consistent quality and strong business acumen within all services offered by the group.

CAREER HISTORY
Project Manager,  Operational Excellence Team- Lifeways Group

January 2019-Present

A national role providing peripatetic support and guidance to various models of support across Lifeways Group and all acquisitions (Residential, Supported Living, Floating Support) across all possible health and social care client groups.

As project manager I take lead responsibility for any projects assigned to me by the Regional or Managing Director. These include support to services requiring improvement, under scrutiny from regulators/commissioners and in need of quality and operational structure. I am also charged with managing project teams to embed new services acquired to the group. Including overseeing of all Tupe processes and operational roll outs.

 

Care Delivery Director- Allied Healthcare

October 2018- December 2018

Resigned due to de-commissioning of responsible branches

Covering a vast region of Homecare contracts within Northamptonshire. Overseeing 2 branches ensuring operational and commercial performance is efficient and well managed.

Ensuring quality and compliance for varied contracts within the region- reporting directly to both the regional and managing director in relation to commercial performance and key performance indicators for existing contracts and business growth.

·         Operational support to subordinate managers and branch staff

·         High level HR investigations and appeals

·         Investigation/interpretation of finance and operational reports

·         Support of organisational changes in view of restructuring and transformation projects.

·         Full accountability for quality action plans- in line with commissioning and regulatory expectations.

While acting as Care Delivery Director for Northampton  I also currently cover the Branch Manager (registered manager) role for Wellingborough branch due to the position being vacant. I take full responsibility for customer service concerns and complaints and directly support the branch staff to ensure continuity of service.

In my short time with Allied Healthcare I have fully committed to the role and immersed myself within both branches to ensure stability and continuity in an unsettled time. I find myself searching for alternative employment as Allied Healthcare transfer all contracts to other providers.

 

Area Manager (Walsall) Lifeways Community Care

June 2016- September 2018

Key Responsibilities;

·         Adherence to all regulatory standards set by CQC including supporting my area office through 2 CQC inspections that attained ‘Good’ and overseeing an inspection for 2 residential respite service that both attained ‘Good’.

·         Ensuring contract compliance and positive relationships with local authorities.

·         Monitoring, analysing and reporting upon monthly accounts, implementing actions to improve financial performance where possible.

·         Completing disciplinary hearings and advising managers I supervise in relation to HR matters and staff management.

·         Liaison with development functions to grow new business and support in operational management of new services/ new builds.

·         Completing regular reports relating to organisational and personal KPI’s.

·         As a Service Manager I was responsible for managing half of the Birmingham floating support (mental health) contract as well as the Sandwell Supported Living schemes.

·         Managing a group of team leaders who in turn supervise a group of staff, responsibility for ensuring all operational tasks are completed with regards to staff management such as supervisions, appraisals, probationary meetings and attendance management reviews.
·         completing assessments of support for new supported individuals and atteningd reviews to ensure the person centred support plans are completed and followed.
·         Attending multi agency meetings and regularly liaise with outside agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support and ensure all elements of risk, to the individual or staff are identified and managed
