· Students Offering Support (SOS) is an organization at various post-secondary Canadian institutions which helps fundraise money for educational projects in developing countries on outreach trips
· My outreach trip consisted of helping to build a library in Vista Hermosa Guatemala and helping the children improve their literacy skills. During my stay in Guatemala we were housed with a local family who lived on a farm. This allowed us to truly immense ourselves in their life and experience the culture by taking part in activities such as cultural dances, church services, and wearing traditional clothing.
