DUTIES & FUNCTION:

Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles.

Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor

Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults

Perform routine vehicle maintenance service, including oil change, change filters, brakes, Tire change, wheel balance, tire rotation& wheel alignment

Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment

Test and adjust repaired systems according to manufacturer’s performance specifications

Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups

Advice customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.

Troubleshoot & conduct extensive diagnostic procedure to customer complaint with the aid of   diagnostic tool and to check visually to determine the sources of the complaint and provide accurate repair

Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness

Inspect vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emission and safety

Maintaining a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair

Adhere to all established safety policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous waste

Maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity especially special service tool in the workshop and workplace safety

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications

Maintain and account for assigned parts, equipment, and tools
