· SECONDARY STUDIES: Omar Mukhtar School (Lebanon)
· UNIVERSITY STUDIES: University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio (United States of America)
1. MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ENGINEERING (2002-2004)
COURSES & RELATED PROJECTS
Business Law, Accounting, Managing in Dynamic Environment, Operation Management, Facility Planning & Design (plan & design the inventory process for an instrument panel manufacturing plant), Managing Technological Innovations, Advance Mathematics, Material Science in Engineering.
THESIS
Implemented a cargo system assembly process at Johnson Controls facility, which is located in Toledo Ohio. The cargo system is a box divider that is located in the back trunk of the Jeep Liberty vehicle. The goals of the project were to determine the total number of equipments & operators required for the cargo system assembly line. Also, to determine the total floor space needed for the manufacturing process; finally, to translate the determined numbers in to dollars value that can be presented to Daimler Chrysler for project approval.
This is a real life project that I did for Johnson Controls Company in the year 2004.
2. BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING (1997-2000)
COURSES & RELATED PROJECTS
Linear Algebra, Physics 1-2, Chemistry 1-2, Calculus 1-4, Engineering Economics, Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Dynamics, Engineering Static’s 1-2, Electronics 1-2, Statistics 1-2, Statistical & Quality Controls, Operation Research 1-2, Tool Engineering, Work Design & Measurement (plan & design a tractor assembly process), Facilities Planning (design a floor plan layout for an automobile manufacturing plant), Manufacturing Systems & Management (redesign a restaurant inventory control process for better efficiency), Computer Aided Manufacturing (build different engineering tools using NC machines), Human Factors of Engineering (modify the design of college student chair for better ergonomics), Auto-CAD (develop a 3-d office layout using the Auto-CAD software), Arena Manufacturing Simulation (simulate an automobile assembly process using the Arena software).
THESIS
Worked on standardizing the set up procedures & fixtures used in a flock adhesive application at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company. The goals of the project were to reduce the cost of producing tires by 3% & improve the process efficiency by 5%. Also, another deliverable was to design a web site for the company.
This is a real life project that I implemented for Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in the year 2000.
III- PROFFESIONAL EXPERIENCE
Johnson Controls, Toledo, Ohio (supplying Daimler Chrysler with the instrument panel & cargo system units for the Jeep Liberty model vehicle)
Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer, June 2000 – May 2004
Responsible for maintaining all the subassembly machines, tools & material handling equipments used in the instrument panel assembly process. Also, maintaining many engineering programs that Johnson Control utilizes in keeping track of all engineering & process changes like floor plan layout (FPL), time study data base (TS), operator description sheet (ODS), first time capability data base (FTC), potential failure mode (PFMEA) & potential ergonomic issue (PEIL).
Responsible for quoting & implementing all the engineering changes required by Daimler Chrysler on the instrument panel (adding a radio navigation system for the 2005 model year vehicle).
Responsible in performing time studies for the instrument panel assembly stations, using stopwatch & video taping methods.
Responsible for balancing the work load needed in the assembly process by calculating the number of stations, operators, machines & tools required based on the process cycle time (during the years 2000 – 2004, I was able to reduce the number of operators needed in the instrument panel assembly process from 65 to 45 operators while maintaining the same production volume of a 1000 panels per day, which in turn saved Johnson Controls an annual labor cost of 2 million dollars).
Responsible for designing & installing different types of material handling equipments that was needed in presenting the raw materials on assembly line (gravity racks, gravity & automated conveyors, & tilt-lift tables).
Responsible for determining & maintaining the instrument panel process layout by utilizing the Auto-CAD software.
Responsible for implementing projects that helped in improving operator’s safety & ergonomics (ergonomic task force (ETF) champion from the year 2002 till 2004).
Responsible for implementing projects that helped in reducing quality issues on the assembly process (roll throughput yield (RTY) champion 2001 – 2004).
Responsible for implementing many different type of projects that is related to six sigma, kaizen & continuous improvement in order to improve process efficiency (continuous improvement projects (CI) champion for the year 2002).
Responsible for supporting Johnson Controls in launching new instrument panel programs (supported Johnson Controls facility that is located in Netherlands, in launching the instrument panel for the 2004 Mercedes Smart vehicle. Also, helped in launching the instrument panel for the Pontiac Grand M vehicle, in Johnson Controls facility that is located in Canada).
Responsible for launching a cargo system assembly process at the Johnson Controls facility that is located in Toledo. The cargo system unit is an additional feature that Daimler Chrysler will introduce on the 2005 Jeep Liberty vehicle.

Responsible for teaching several courses like Electric Circuits & Math.
Nixon’s Cable, Qatar
Inventory/Industrial Engineer, July 2008 – September 2008
Responsible for managing, controlling and monitoring the inventory process (In-Out raw materials) at Nixon’s Cable facility.
Responsible for implementing and monitoring material handling equipment’s and operators that was needed in presenting and rearranging the raw materials at the facility (forklifts, racks and cranes etc.).
Responsible for determining & maintaining the floor plan layout of the facility by utilizing the Auto-CAD software.
Responsible for implementing projects that helped in improving operator’s safety & ergonomics.
