OBJECTIVE
Pianist, composer and teacher born in Havana, Cuba. He currently lives in Ecuador and works as a teacher at the Guayaquil University of the Arts. I have more than 15 years of experience as a music teacher, teaching Composition, Harmony, Polyphony and Counterpoint, Music Theory, Morphology and Musical Analysis, and piano. My goal is to work in Canada as a music teacher.

– He graduated as an Engineer in Computer Machines at the Polytechnic Higher Institute “José Antonio Echeverría” (I.S.P.J.A.E.).
– In 2003 he obtained a degree from the Superior Institute of Art (ISA. University of the Arts) in the specialty of Composition.
– In 2008, he obtained the scientific degree of Doctor of Science in Art at University of Fine Arts of Cuba.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN MUSICAL EDUCATION
– For 16 years he was Full Professor at the Higher Institute of Art (current University of the Arts of Havana) teaching the disciplines of Composition, Contemporary Techniques and Sheet Music Reading. He belonged to the Permanent Scientific Degree Court of the mentioned institution. He was the Coordinator for 3 years (2013-2016) of the Master of Music at the Havana University of the Arts.

– Currently and for two years I have been professor at the University of the Arts of Ecuador, of Musical Composition and Composition for Soundtracks, he is the coordinator of the Master in Composition and Sound Arts and directs the Ecuadorian Musical Heritage project within the UArtes. He was the winner of the best artist-teacher award at the aforementioned institution during 2019.
