Roles and responsibilities

1  Responsible for assissting staff nurse while taking care of patients.

2  Accompanying patients to and from the bathroom

3. Following on site training.

A. Assist with feeding of helpless patients under direct supervision of the staff nurse.

B. Assist staff nurse from lifting The patient to andfrom the bed, wheelchair or stretcher.

C. Assist the staff nurse in bed making and changing of linens.

D. Disposal of urinals with proper equipment and cleaning.

E. Responsible for systematic organizing and sorting out the linens.

F. Answers telephone calls as required and conveys the message.

G. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the status of the equipments.

H. Assist in transportation of patients to and from hospital facilities.

I. Answers patients call bell and reports to nurse accordingly

J. Reports any subjective or objective changes noticed with patients to the staff nurse.

K. Attends patients and visitors queries and reports to staff nurse.

L. Assist nurse with admission and discharge of patients.

M. does other task assigned by superiors.
