SUBJECT :  Application for the Position of Mathematics Teacher or Any Teaching                                              Position

Dear Ma’am/Sir:

Greetings of peace!

This is to humbly express my intention to apply for the position of Mathematics Teacher or any teaching position vacated in your Office.

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, with Latin Honor – Cum Laude, in Cebu Technological University- San Francisco Campus, Cebu City. Presently, I am taking up Master of Arts in Mathematics Education with Specialization in College Teaching in Philippine Normal University. I obtained my Professional Licensed for Teacher last June 19, 2018 with the rating of 87.20 %.

Summer on April 2013, when I was sixteen (16) years of age, I started working in the government as a clerical aide in my hometown, Local Government Unit- Poro, Camotes, Cebu. The summer job was an opportunity for me by the Capitol of Cebu to sustain my education in college. I was also a consistent academic scholar and kept my studies at the best so I maintained my name on the  dean’s list of achievers. Despite of the adversity I had faced, I manage to finish my education with honor.

Springing from an indigent family, the importance of education is very evident to me.  My lifetime goal has always been how to contribute to the education of my fellow, no matter how small it may be, for the attainment of sustainable solidarity and development for all. I admit that being a good educator is indeed a challenging work. However, imparting knowledge and sharing own experience to the youth about quality education in particular the importance of mathematics education, is for me priceless. Being in the academe also let me participate in various seminars, academic activities, trainings and workshops which helped me in harnessing my skills in the field of education, research, and volunteerism.

Moreover, I am involved in civic/non-government organizations which focus in the field of volunteerism. I am a Volunteer in Santo Nino Parish Youth Ministry (SNPYM), as well as a Volunteer in Kamp Pagkakaisa Volunteers Charity Incorporated (KPVI) which broadened my psycho-social skills as a dynamic leader, communicator and teacher, and enriched my learning insights and experiences.

After I graduated, I decided to apply in different government offices. Fortunately, I was given the position of Special Agent II in Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), which, I honestly believe, is more than what I could ask for being a fresh graduate job seeker. With my passion and commitment to my profession, I am able to do my work beyond expectations. Despite work pressure, I did my best to perform all the duties and responsibilities required by the said position, such as:

1.  Assists in determining the scope, timing and direction of investigation relative to right-of-  way acquisition functions,
2.  Establishes facts by interviewing, observing and analyzing records;
3.  Verifies information obtained to establish accuracy and authenticity of facts and presents      findings in clear, logical, impartial and properly documented reports; and
4.  Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time by my immediate supervisor.

On November 21, 2018 to date I become part of the Reach International School (RIS) as a Substitute Mathematics Teacher in it’s Primary Department and LEAP Department.

With my educational attainment with academic distinctions, work experiences/trainings, coupled with my love of work and dedication to public service, I earnestly hope that you would grant me the opportunity to serve your company in a better capacity.
