Job Description
 

Ø  Trained for theoretical and practical knowledge for proper collection, handling and processing of specimen for laboratory examination.

Ø  Extensive experience to perform phlebotomy, blood extractions, venipuncture and capillary puncture in all patients.

Ø  Maintain lab equipments and inventory, perform user maintenance of various equipments.

Ø  Collect and tag specimens exactly as outlined in each medical requisition.

Ø  Maintain an organized and clean work area based on state health laws and guidelines of the medical organization.

Ø  Perform various clinical laboratory test, procedures and analysis used for diagnosis treatment and prognosis of disease.

Ø  Capable of performing complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic and chemical test and their results. Some task that I performed are,

Preparing tissue culture samples
Establishing and monitoring programs that ensure data accuracy
Microscopically examining the slides of bodily fluids
Cross-matching blood for transfusion
Chemically analyzing blood or urine for toxic components
Analyzing lab reports for accuracy
Operating and calibrating equipment
Delivering test results to physicians or patients
Collecting and studying blood samples to determine morphology
Ø  Work with physicians, doctors, and other medical staff in diagnosing patients conditions and carrying out experiments to identify the gravity of infection as this is important in creating effective treatment plans for combating severe cases of ill health.
