WORK EXPERIENCE
August 2015 – January 2020: Golden Star (Wassa) Limited
Position: Exploration Geologist
Reports To: Exploration Superintendent
Department: Exploration
Job Task and Responsibilities:
• Supervised nine (9) drill rigs on surface drilling across several fences (sections) within the mine site.
• Infill drilling of 50m to 100m from 18700N to 19550N fences. At least 1km of holes have been drilled. Drilling ended with couple of daughter (wedged) holes. Some holes were drilled from the surface.
• Diamond drill core logging: Geological, Sampling, Geotechnical and Structural Logging.
• Reporting daily on rigs activities and sectional update including zones of mineralization.
• Putting together geological and mineralization model on sectional maps after the drilling programme.
• Preparation of coarse and pulp rejects for QAQC and ICP tests.
• Coordinating departmental morning meetings, including meetings involving Geologists. Report to Senior Geologist on safety, environmental and welfare issues brought forward during meetings.
• Recommend to Senior Geologist and Exploration Superintendent in respect of all provisions for the smooth running of our work.
• Set target of number of drilled holes to be logged, and dispatched for the day
• Working with consultants to provide support and assistance in their research work
• Making sure all team members rides in the company’s train of saving cost and producing more slogan and vision by assisting the Senior Geologist and Exploration Superintendent in creating conducive internal environment for team members give the maximum best at work.
• Gives first hand data evaluation from geological logging before being exported to the Data base.
• Identify any deficiencies and ensures prompt corrective actions are taken, including suggestions on any modifications to avoid the recurrence of such errors.
• Training of national service and attachment personnel.

• Carried out ore spotting.
• In pit and underground mapping and interpretation of maps.
• Preparation of composite and reject samples during Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling.

• Measured the resistivity of the ground by applying a voltage through the earth material using resistivity meter.
• Drilling of boreholes to the required depth and logging of chips samples.
• Borehole development, pumping tests and water quality analysis.
