QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree Holder in Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Almost 19 years in construction industry with extensive experience in estimating and or quantity surveying works. Currently I am working as an Outsourced Estimator and Procurement Officer in a Home Builder Company in Queensland, Australia. Well versed on estimating works on commercial, residential and other big scale projects where the scope of works focus on interior design fitting-out works, carpentry works, civil and structural works.

I am very hardworking person, independent with sense of initiative, responsible, and always willing to learn especially where I could excel more on my field.

Job description:

Well versed in interpretation of drawings
Quantity take-offs and detailing scope of works to produce a set of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for costing proposal.
Reporting to Managing Director regarding costing, quotations and budget proposals
Knowledge in Mechanical & Electrical works (MEP).
Responsible in understanding the project requirements for tendering/bidding projects.
Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants and clients for technical inquiries to ensure accuracy of the cost proposal to avoid any future technical issues.
Attend tender/bid interview when required.
Sourcing for material/supplier/sub-contractors to provide a competitive pricing
Evaluate (pre-qualify) sub-contractor/vendor quotes and quality of goods and services to determine most desirable suppliers/trades
Purchasing/Procurement Works including negotiating with preferred suppliers
Support planning and scheduling when necessary.
Participate in Value Engineering exercises where required to come up with cost effective project.
Site Inspection/Project Supervision
Monitor, identify, assess and keep records of any variations for on-going projects
Prepare and evaluate sub-contract payments
Do contract administration, interim/progress payments, certification of claims and settle final accounts
Other Quantity Surveyor related works from pre- and post-Tender projects.
