JOB DESCRIPTION

Foster high standard of practice to provide the best possible nursing care to patient.
Practice within hospital policies and procedures, standards of nursing practice and professional code.
Assess patient care needs utilizing nursing process in all aspects of care.
Practice proper hand hygiene, medical asepsis.
Assist physician during morning rounds and afternoon rounds.
Carries out physician’s order conscientiously such as Oxygen therapy, NGT feeding.
Perform intravenous infusion and parenteral medications / supervisor supervision.
Maintain a safe and aseptic environment for the patient.
Prepares patient for any procedures and assist physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Implements discharge planning and proper health education to patient and watchers.
Chart all procedures, treatments, medication and observation made.
Monitor vital signs and assess any deviations needing immediate nursing intervention prior to doctor’s referral.
Report to physician any untoward reaction to treatment medication.
Follow proper documentation per hospital policy.
