I have graduated with Very Good Distinction my Thesis Title was “Development of Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchical Process for the Selection of Ethiopian Construction Contractors”

Experience

March 2019 - To date Resident Engineer at Jakale CM Consultancy

I am working in a high rise building renovation building with a contract amount of 24.2 million USD. The Construction Contractor is China Jiangsu International E.T.C.C
Being a Resident Engineer, I am controlling the quality of the construction during design review stage, material selection and approval stage and during construction stage. I will prepare progress report to my head office and lead the weekly and monthly meetings with the contractor and the Employer. I used to check and Evaluate the payment certificate requested by the Contractor.

2013 - 2019 Project Engineer, Construction coordination Division Head and Project Manager at different time interval at TNT Construction and Trading PLC

The main Projects were: Compound Asphalt road, University Sewerage treatment plant, Industry park Sewerage treatment plant, high rise buildings for apartment, Electrical substations, etc.
I was a project Engineer at the beginning, then i got promotion and become a project manager for different infrastructure and building projects for 5 years and finally I have promoted to a higher position at head office level being a construction coordination division head. Project engineer and project manager are more of site operation activities. I was responsible for the workers productivity, progress of activities, Resource utilization and wastage minimization, etc. At head office being a coordinator, i was responsible for different 15 projects follow up and reporting to the construction department.

2010-2012 Office Engineer at MIDROC Construction Ethiopia

I used to prepare weekly, monthly and annually reports, payment requests, claim initiation and substantiation, construction planning, etc. The Project was a Referral Hospital which was funded by CDC.

2007-2010 Site Engineer at Afro-Tsion Construction PLC

I was responsible for site activities, productivity and resource utilization on site. The site was “8 University class room buildings”
