Work Description:
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical appliances and machines.
• Assembles and tests electric motor and generator stators, armatures, or rotors: Inspects cores for defects and aligns laminations, using hammer and drift and lines slots with sheet insulation and inserts coils into slots.
• Cuts, strips, and bends wire leads at ends of coils while rewinding defective coils.
• Repairing or replacing parts, assembling, installing, testing and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures, using hand and power tools.
• Testing electrical systems for continuity of the circuits in electrical motors, equipment and fixtures. Other testing using testing devices such as ohmmeters, ammeter and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
