• Every morning checking of checklist of equipment and instrument in deference area.
• They disassemble equipment to locate malfunctioning components, repair or replace defective parts, and reassemble the equipment, adjusting and calibrating it to ensure that it operates according to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Keeping records of defective fixtures and machine such as service report, service request, logbook for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and knowledge of manufacturers’ manuals, troubleshooting techniques.
• Prepare pull-out letter whenever repair is needed inside or outside the hospital.
• Inspect and install biomedical equipments like ECG machines, suction machines, imaging machines, x-ray units, anesthesia apparatus, ultrasound, analyzers, patient monitors and defibrillators.
• Build and manage preventive-maintenance schedules.
• Maintain data and records on the use and condition of the equipment.
• Demonstrate operational methods of equipment to therapists, nurses and other members of the hospital staff.
• Conduct safety tests on medical equipment to ensure safety of the patients and staff.
• Ensure that the biomedical equipment function properly.
