Project Management

Role

·       Conducting review of the bids and making technical comparison of bids with specification, tabulation of System parameters, bid clarifications from bidders and preparation of technical evaluation report.

·       Interacting with the clients regarding tendering, costing/ acquiring approvals & submitting the documents as per tender & bidding requirements.

·       M/s Lhoist Malaysia, Lime Production Plant Tapah, EPC Downstream and Truck Loading/Bagging System (South East Asia’s Biggest Lime Production Plant) comprise of Kiln, Belt conveyor, Bucket Elevator, Vibrating Screen, Vibrating Feeder, Crusher, Screw conveyor, Dust collection system and over all Process building and Big bag loading system

·       Preparation of FEED (Front End Engineering Design) documents for sulphur handling system – Petronas Rapid Project, Malaysia and port handling system – Kuantan port terminal, Malaysia.

·       M/s Manjung 4 & Manjung 5 Coal fired power plant 1×1000 MW, Coal handling system for 3800 TPH & 1400TPH comprise total stockyard conveyors and Stacker cum reclaimer and Sea water intake, outfall &circulating water system package.

Aug’2010 to Nov’2011       Tenova Mining and Minerals, Bangalore-India, as Sr. Engineer (Mechanical Department)

Role

·       Ensure that the technical integrity and work scope definition is maintained through the Procurement and Construction activities, by maintaining close co-operation with those functions and advising the Project Manager if corrective action is needed.

·       Issue progress, efficiency and technical overview reports to the Project Manager as required by project procedures.

·       Interface with Engineering Functional Managers on resource planning, allocation and demobilization, to achieve project and company resource management objectives.

Accomplishments

·       Worked as a single coordinator with head office (South Africa) for any clarification or necessary input required for the project handled in Indian office.

·       Successfully initiated lot of intercompany training in bulk material handling systems, which helped in training the trainees who were new to the field of material handling and process plants.

·       Overland conveyor for M/s. UDKAL – LDC (1200 Belt Width, 18 KM Long & 2850 TPH) Longest Single Flight overland Conveyor in India.

·       Proposal engineering and plant design for 2 x 350 TPH Coal Washery Unit for Jindal Steel and Power at Tamnar, India.

·       Proposal engineering of Pipe Conveyors with technical support from Bateman Engineering Technologies, South Africa for Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCo).

Apr’2006 to Aug’2010         Flsmidth India, Chennai-India, as Lead Engineer (Material Handling Department)

Role

·       Generated the plot plan, equipment flow diagram, GA drawings and other document deliverables.

·       To review the drawings of bought out equipment with respect to the layout.

·       To conduct offer reviews and provide technical clearance for the offers for further commercial clearance.

·       To closely coordinate with the vendors during vendor drawing review and approval.

·       National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Vallure, Tamil Nadu: External Coal handling Pipe conveyor for 4000 TPH Coal Transportation, 650 mm dia / 2400mm BW, 4.5 Km long with 6.0 mps. (Biggest dia Pipe conveyor in India).

·       Jaypee Himachal Cement Limited, 2250TPH Limestone Handling pipe conveyor System, 500mm dia/2000mm BW, 1.3Km long with 3.0 mps.

·       Reliance Petroleum Limited, Jamnagar, Gujarat, 1040TPH Pet Coke Handling System, 500mm dia/2000mm BW, 250m long with 4.0mps.
