Education History
MAR 2018 – JAN 2019
Post Graduate Diploma in Child Sensitive Social Policies
Women’s University in Africa (Zimbabwe)
A Post Graduate Diploma in Child Sensitive Social Policies gave me the opportunity to learn about children’s rights as enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Children. My dissertation topic was’ Assessing the challenges involved in implementing the Best Interest of the child in inheritance matters. A topic that was motivated by a passion to ensure that children benefit from their deceased parent’s estates and that they participate meaningfully in issues that affect their inheritance.
SEP 2008 – OCT 2011
Bachelor of Science Honors in Sociology and Gender Development Studies
Women’s University in Africa (Zimbabwe)
My passion for helping women and children exceed societal expectations drove me to pursue a Bachelor of Science Honors in Sociology and Gender Development studies. Zimbabwe is a developing country hence the participation of women and children in the public domain is still being controlled by patriarchy which sees women and children being excluded in making important decisions. As a result, I ended up writing a Dissertation on the inclusion of women and children in the drafting of the Constitution which was being drafted in Zimbabwe in 2011. My sole mandate was to access whether women and children participated in the drafting process or they were spoken for.
