Maintenance Technician (Packaging Department)
1. Responsible for the delivery of engineering and outstanding quality in the packaging department, use the expertise to support with engineering colleagues and my manager (the Packaging Engineer) to deliver equally high quality engineering elsewhere in the department both in bottle and canning line machine.
2. Work closely with the operations to ensure that maintenance tasks on the line are adequately scoped, resourced, completed and evaluated. Ensure operation of plant and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirement (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, process equipment and utility system (provide a continuous supplied required for operations).
3. Plays a vital role in the efficiency, development and progress of manufacturing and processing Machinery; monitoring and controlling maintenance costs; dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs and improving health and safety policies and procedures;
4. . Work with other professionals in order to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes. Managing expenditure and budgets; assessing risks through maintenance KPI’S.
5. Working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines; writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines; also ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
6. Participate effectively in initiatives to drive packaging performance and efficiencies through engineering skill development and coaching, also ensure the enforcement of the company’s standards of health, safety and environmental practices; the protection of personnel on the line as well as the protection of the company assets

1. Operating, Troubleshooting and repairing of packaging machines and ensuring optimal plant performance, also ensure maximum plant efficiency and reliability in a long term. Carried out planned preventive maintenance on machines and equipment aiming to achieve maximum plant availability with a target of zero unplanned downtime.
2. Responsible for the care and maintenance of all the plant assets in a safe, sanity and efficient condition by carrying out routine maintenance checks. Readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
3. Maintain communications with other departments, management and employees; notify them of any problems and concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production. Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance task, also ensure all required information’s is documented in accordance to SOP’s.
4. Carrying out Changeover activities on the machine to fit for running another company product. Operate and monitors the operation and performance of production facilities and equipment to ensure continuous functionality and availability.
5. Participate with root cause analysis for operating problems including the identification of contributing causes for non-operating events and work to eliminate the root cause for continuous improvement.

1. Responsible for operating, cleaning and maintaining the plant and equipment to meet the increasing volume and quality demands in a reliable and cost efficient manner of Process line, Preventive, Corrective & Proactive Plant Maintenance in Process area
2. Trouble shooting and fault diagnostics, also Provide a comprehensive production service on plant and equipment – operating and cleaning, carrying out maintenance schedule, responding to breakdowns, assessing and monitoring plant performance on ongoing basis.
Condition Monitoring, Corrective and Preventive Maintenance of Pumps, Valve, Gear Box, Process Plant, Universal packing machine, and Process Machines.
4. Troubleshoot mechanical problems by utilizing standardized problem solving techniques, verifying that proper investigative actions are completed so that root causes may be quickly identified. Pumps – Theory, Practice and Maintenance, Gear Box Systems– Theory, Practice and Maintenance, Industrial Fans and Blowers– Theory, Practice and Maintenance, Bearings– Theory, Practice and Maintenance, Alignment Theory and Practice.
5. Responsible for overall operation, maintenance, process optimization, production, quality control, safety of Process plant in a soap manufacturing.
