Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for inspections, repairs and troubleshooting of generating plant equipment. This position will interface with operations, maintenance planners and coordinators to assist in planning and scheduling of electrical maintenance work.
Detailed Functions:
– Assist in the overhaul of various plant components, equipment and machinery.
– Performs routine operational equipment checks, to include the isolation and restoration of components, and to assist others, in plant operation.
– Perform regular and customary inspections, repairs, test, adjustments, installations and removals/machinery such as but not limited to motors, generators, transformers, switches, electrical signal and communication systems, and associated control equipment and wiring.
– Troubleshoot and repair failures on electrical circuits and equipment and on some mechanical equipment and components.
– Performs administrative functions in support of work unit such as timekeeping, materials support, cost monitoring, and scheduling and quality control/quality assurance.
– Develop simple and complex electrical wiring and schematic diagrams as needed for the efficient operation of the plant.
– Uses plant computer systems to monitor work backlog and input work order data.
– Performs data collection and maintain proper logs, review plant monitoring logs and trends and recommend corrective measures as required.
– Adheres to all safety and environmental rules and regulations.
– Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the apparatus, tools, equipment and other equipment used in the performance of tasks and on the site where tasks are to be performed.
– Performs emergency response activities or less skilled work as required.
– Performs general housekeeping functions as necessary.
– Conduct testing and commissioning of newly installed equipment.
– Assist in the attainment of Quality and EHS key performance measures.
– Comply with company policies, safety and security rules and code of conduct.
– Assist the management in implementing company policies, SOPs, safety procedures, good housekeeping, energy conservation guidelines and environmental regulations.

ÿ Witnessed and experienced on all Steam Turbine Generator commissioning and performance tests.
ÿ Experienced commissioning on all electrical systems inside the power plant (69kV Switchyard, Coal Handling System, Steam Turbine Generator, ESP, Limestone Handling System, Sand Handling System, Water Treatment/Waste Water Treatment System, CEMS, Cooling Tower, Raw Water System, Black Start Emergency Diesel Generator and HV/MV/LV Systems).
ÿ Experienced troubleshooting on electrical panels, motors, HMIs, PLCs, Electric Transformers and many other equipment related to electrical.
ÿ Experienced INFOR Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
ÿ Have detailed knowledge about motor, transformer and generator protective relay settings particularly on MICOM devices, Schneider EOCRs.
ÿ Have detailed knowledge on SF6 Circuit Breaker, Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) and Air Circuit Breaker (ACB) particularly used on 69kV Switchyard, 6kV Switchgear and 480V Switchgear, respectively.
