Work Experience:
Limerick Youth Service: Sep 2015-Aug 2016.
⦁ Coaching and providing physical activity for sixth class boys, 1st years and 2nd years who attend from the Secondary school in Colaiste Na Trocaire, Limerick.
⦁ Supervising the students during after school homework club.
⦁ I have been very successful in promoting positive educational choices to the young participants. The knowledge is taken from University College Cork and comprises of many aspects, including physical activity and positive learning environments.

⦁ P.E – 2014/15. Grades 2 -10. – Coaching and teaching pupils from grades 2 – 10.
⦁ I was also involved in coaching the 10th regional tournament of Sabis.
⦁ The sports I was teaching included swimming, athletics, football, softball, volleyball, table tennis and cricket.

School placement:
Patrician Academy, Mallow, Co.Cork.- August 2013 – June 2014.
⦁ PE teaching- 1st and 2nd year students.
⦁ History- Junior Cert – 1st years.
⦁ Teaching outstandingly different topics in history.
⦁ The topics included Irish history, medievil times, the celts and the coming of Christianity and modern European history.

Chriost ri school- 14th January- 28th January 2012.
⦁ PE teaching- Teaching all modern and Irish sports like GAA to students.
⦁ Recording pupils level of fitness and improving their overall athletic ability.

⦁ Extra Curricular Activities; I was involved in coaching students between the ages of thirteen and fifteen.
⦁ This included teaching them fundamental movement skills after the school day had ended.

Christ the king school Cork – February 5 – 19th 2013.
⦁ Teaching the subject of history to secondary school pupils.
⦁ I also covered classes when teachers were absent.
⦁ Observing others and their methods also helped me to recognise effective teaching.

Fota Island Resort- Cork
⦁ I have worked many summers coordinating sports and events for primary school children .
⦁ This involved much interaction with parents and resort managers.
⦁ This work also involved responsibility for checking income after activities and reporting to reception before leaving each day.

Personal Achievements and interests:
⦁ I worked with the University rugby team last year on my coaching placement.
⦁ This was very resourceful and an excellent way to gain an understanding of effective coaching.
⦁ I made a presentation after completing my placement, where I gained much information about the game of rugby.
⦁ 1 Middle East hurling league medal with Dubai Celts.
⦁ Coached in the 10th regional Sabis tournament.
